Organizational Structure

Mauna Kea Recreational Users Group (MKRUG) consists of an Executive Council, user group committees, member organizations and individuals.

Executive Council:

Voting Members:

• Elected Chairperson and Council Delegate from each user group
• Council Chairperson (non voting, except to break a tie)

The Committee from which the Council Chairperson belongs shall designate an additional Delegate so that each Committee will have two regular voting members on the Council.

Officers:

• Chair (elected by the Council, non-voting except to break a tie)
• Vice-Chair (elected by the Council from the Council voting membership, normal voting privileges)
• Treasurer (elected by the Council, non-voting, any qualified person)
• Secretary(elected by the Council, non-voting, any qualified person)

User Group Committees (one from each of the recognized user groups):

Voting Members:

• Two designated representatives from each of the qualified member organization and…
• two representatives elected from the “Organization of Individual Users”
• Committ Chairperson (non voting, except to break a tie)

The organization or Club  from which the Committee Chairperson belongs shall designate an additional Delegate so that each will have two regular voting members on the Committee.

General Members:

• All persons interested

Any individual may participate either through a member organization or the applicable “organization of individual users”.
